Riverside Police Chief Tom Weitzel recently was appointed to Illinois’ Juvenile Justice Commission by Gov. Pat Quinn.
Weitzel previously served as president of the West Suburban Chiefs of Police Association and currently serves on the executive board of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police.
He also is a member of the executive committee of Fight Crime Invest in Kids Illinois, a state advocacy group that promotes preschool and early learning as a means to reduce crime.
