This training is part of a webinar series hosted with Equip for Equality around supporting youth with disabilities who are justice-involved.
This training provides participants with an overview of the basic rights of youth with disabilities in school settings and how the failure to meet the needs of these young people leads to their overrepresentation in the juvenile and criminal justice systems. We then look at the various impacts of disabilities on youth in the justice system and how system players can advocate for these most vulnerable young people.
